The task was to create a mini book with 16 pages of illustrations under any topics. The first thing that came to my mind was designers boutiques’ architecture, so i named my lil minibook “Retail+Architecture”. I chose 16 different stores for each page and draft the stores. I wanted to make it looks like sketchbook so i used pencil lines and marker brush the achieve that look. The end result i was happy with it.
3.1 Phillip Lim store by Leong Leong. I just love hove they only leave no openings except the doors and cover the whole exterior with white ceramic pillow like tile . So attractive!
Armani 5th Ave has this really cool flowy staircase that runs through the middle of their store.
Burberry 75th NYC uses simple lines and limestone for their facade.
Chanel LA brings out their black and white using sleek lines and simple shapes.
Dior by SANAA explores double skin facade.
Freitag builds it from used container boxes.
Gucci glass material for their facade.
